Automation through Flexibility

Collaborative Appraisals
Employee appraisals can include an unlimited number of manager levels, self-evaluations, and HR participation.

Unlimited evaluation criteria
Employees can be evaluated on any criteria required by the organization: competencies, skills, objectives and more. Additionally, emPerform allows organizations to select the rating scales—numeric, text or checkbox—that best suits their needs. Customizable Workflow

Dynamic forms and templates
Forms and templates can be tailored to specific roles in the organization. emPerform allows HR to build the online reviews just like the existing, paper-based review.  The forms, reviews, and templates can be updated and re-created as the evaluation process evolves.

Comment boxes, rating scales, drop down lists, pick lists, calendars, check-boxes, forms, and instructions can all be modified to meet the organization’s needs.

Customizable work flow
Organizations can automate their employee appraisal process – processes, procedures, culture and terminology – as it currently exists. The existing review process can be recreated in emPerform. Forms, documents, and notifications are automatically routed to the appropriate person.

Off-line Synchronization
Appraisals can be worked on off-line then uploaded at the user’s convenience.

Microsoft Outlook Task and e-mail integration
emPerform is fully integrated with Microsoft Office. Through Microsoft Outlook, tasks are created and published, e-mail reminders and notifications are sent automatically, and calendars are updated.

Integration with HRIS and Payroll systems
emPerform integrates fully with HRIS, ERP, and Payroll systems, simplifying the management of employees and their evaluations. Employee set-up or tombstone data is sent to emPerform and review scores are sent back to the system.

360 multi-rater reviews
360 multi-rater reviews have never been easier to complete. Gather feedback from peers, supervisors and direct reports in one centralized location.

Employee surveys
emPerform includes eSurvey, a web-based survey tool that can complete: probationary reviews, 30/60/90 day on-boarding surveys, exit interviews, employee engagement surveys, and more.

Goal cascading
Corporate goals and objectives can be cascaded down throughout the organization to the individual. This ensures that the goals of all the employees are aligned to optimize organizational performance and achieve success.  Goal cascading also helps the employee develop their own personal goals and objectives.

Goal management
HR can assign and track goals and competencies at an organizational, divisional, departmental, or positional level.

Review elements
Employees can be evaluated on as many or as few review elements as is required for the position. Review elements can include: competencies, goals and objectives, learning and development, career development planning, core duties, succession planning.

Real-time reporting
emPerform facilitates reporting: dashboards, progress monitoring, out-of-the box reports, status updates, ad hoc analysis are all available, in real time. Users have the option of creating their own reports or selecting from a library of pre-defined reports.

Succession planning
Incorporated directly in emPerform, the Succession Manager and the CRG Talent Matrix allow HR and managers to draw from the performance history of employees through past performance reviews, 360 multi-rater reviews and surveys to readily identify the individuals that have the performance and potential to meet new challenges.

emPerform uses icons to guide users through the various parts of the evaluation.

Content libraries
emPerform has a number of libraries to assist HR professionals create appraisals and to help managers and employees complete their evaluations: rating scales, 360 multi-rater review questions, competency libraries, appraisal templates, objectives, employee survey questions, and more.

Writing assistant
The Writing Assistants helps users to overcome writer’s block. It provides suggestions and phrases that are appropriate for the topic.

Year-round journaling
Evaluations are a year-round activity. Employees and managers can now document their activities and successes as they happen, making the annual review process simpler.

Multiple languages
In order for evaluations to be meaningful for employees, the appraisal process should be conducted in the employee’s language of choice. The organization’s own lexicon and terminology can be used in emPerform.

Up to 10 languages can be used in emPerform.

Numeric, text and check mark rating scales
emPerform gives you the option of selecting the rating scale that best fits your organization’s needs.

Public and private file attachments
Employees and managers can save files in emPerform with the option of making them private, for their own reference, or public for everyone with access to view.
